Description
Join us for an evening of celebrating all the businesses in Oklahoma City founded and run by women. Come to connect with other local entrepreneurs and hear startup stories from incredible female founders. This is a coed event and all are welcome. Our 2022 speakers: Rebecca Hartwig, founder of Hartwig Staffing Rebecca Hartwig was born and raised in Oklahoma. She graduated from Oklahoma State University (GO POKES!) with a degree in Business Marketing and Management. She is married to her college sweetheart and has two handsome boys, ages 6 and 9. Rebecca was raised by two IT professionals, so it’s not surprising that she has a passion for IT. After spending 10+ years specializing in IT staffing, in October of 2017, Rebecca opened her own staffing firm. She now has a team of 12. She serves as the President of the Oklahoma City Human Resource Society and is on the Executive Board as Treasurer for the Oklahoma Women in Technology group. Roxanne Foster, founder of Easy Freezy Roxanne is a small business owner, mother, and someone who cares deeply for humanity. She started a business as a means to support herself and her children and make the lives of other families easier, with the hope of easing other families lives as the biggest driving factor. Roxanne is also an avid traveler, some of her favorite travels being in Italy, NYC, Colorado, and anywhere she hasn’t seen yet. She loves to read, write, explore and find connections everywhere she can. Krystle N. Robinson-Hershey, founder of Sage & Elm Apothecary Krystle is a passionate creator impacting her community and abroad with her savvy business tact and distinct leadership abilities. Krystle has been a beacon of knowledge leading corporate teams, both locally and regionally; in education, business development and mental health. She received both an undergraduate and graduate degree from HBCU Langston University. As an advocate for positive self-care practices coupled with mental health, Krystle transformed her career trajectory; developing Sage & Elm Apothecary, a plant based company steeped in cultural practices. Sage & Elm Apothecary launched in 2018 as a natural health and beauty provider. Matina Hunnell, founder of Evergreen Academy Matina is the co-founder of Evergreen Academy, a self-directed K-8th (soon to be through 12th) microschool in Norman, Oklahoma. Fueled by a desire to provide a better educational learning model for her own two children and the greater Norman community, she embarked on this wild and beautiful entrepreneurial journey to start a nonprofit school with her mom back in 2019. Prior to starting a school, she was a music educator for twelve years. Matina has a Master of Music in Jazz Studies and Piano Performance from UCO, and a Bachelor of Music in Songwriting and Voice from Berklee College of Music. She is a published songwriter and music director at a local church. Please note: Our last She Started It event SOLD OUT.
