Education nonprofit Total Equity Now (TEN) invites fathers (+ father figures) and their children (grades K-5) to Daddy, Books, Tea & Me!, an inspiring Father's Day / Juneteenth Weekend experience celebrating Black and Brown dads as powerful role models for reading and writing. Advance $20 ticket purchase required. (Each ticket admits one father and up to two children enrolled in grades K-5.) Proceeds from ticket sales and non-attendee donations will underwrite TEN's exciting fall/winter line-up of educational events, programs, and community resources. Longtime TEN partner Sister's Uptown Bookstore, a Black- and women-owned small business celebrating 22 years of outstanding service to our community, is hosting the event and curating a special collection of outstanding children's books for purchase.
