MALDEN, MA — A new Teen Health Center is opening at Malden High School on Monday, an effort to make healthcare more accessible to students.
Cambridge Health Alliance, the Tufts University Family Medicine Residency at CHA and the City of Malden partnered to bring the innovative health center to life.
"We are pleased to finally be able to achieve this long-standing goal of providing health care to students in an environment that is trusted and immediately accessible to them," Malden Mayor Gary Christenson said.
The Teen Health Center will offer a full range of medical care onsite, including immunizations, counseling, dental care and free and confidential sexual and reproductive health services. It's open to all students ages 12 to 24, regardless of insurance coverage, immigration status or ability to pay.
An official ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Monday.
