Description

Get your team together now for the 3rd annual Juneteenth Ruck! The past two rucks have covered several miles of downtown and many decades of history. This year, it’s time to do the hard thing; a 26 mile Star Course hitting many points of history and connecting with black-owned businesses in Greensboro. There will also be an intermediate 12 mile course (beginas at 9AM) and a beginner 5 mile course (begins at noon) to choose from. Teams must be between 2 and 5 people in size. The start and end will be in downtown Greensboro so your crew can meet you at the end to celebrate completing the ruck and join in the Juneteenth festivities. F3 will support the ruck throughout the day to make sure your team completes the mission! Rucking is the foundation of Special Forces training and the Star Course is the culminating exercise of Special Forces Selection. Your ruck’s on your back, you're given your waypoints, and you have to meet the time standard if you want to pass. Go! says the Cadre — you plan your route and then you're off. There are no push-ups or smoke sessions, that’s not this event. It's just you, your rucksack, your team and the miles. And it’s not to be underestimated. The GORUCK Star Course honors our roots in Special Forces and adds a team dynamic so you can share the experience together (also a common thing in SF). Those who successfully pass will earn the Juneteenth Star Course patch. It will never be for sale. Waypoints will not be revealed until the day of the event. For how, simply pick your distance, get registered, assemble your team, and be prepared. We will be emailing you a list of suggested supplies to pack. NOTE: all proceeds benefit the F3 Foundation; a non profit dedicatied to leveraging the men of F3 to invigorate virtuous leadership in our communities.
