The Town of Foxborough is working with BETA to develop a Sidewalk Master Plan to aid in the prioritization of funding for new and existing pedestrian infrastructure.
As seen in the pedestrian heat map below, specified areas of known pedestrian activity have been assigned a prioritization tier and a radii.
Historically, the maintenance of existing infrastructure is considered a higher priority when compared with expansion; as, the larger and more complex infrastructure grows, the more costly it is to maintain.
However, we recognize that growth is also necessary to a vibrant community and that issues of safety and walk-ability have a real impact on quality of life. With your help, we hope to develop a more balanced, holistic methodology in consideration of future projects.
Your input on the survey will help us determine high priority areas from resident's perspective and allow us to create a more cohesive and collaborative Sidewalk Master Plan.
The Sidewalk Master Plan Survey is available until Friday June 24th.
