Platt Builders is seeking a highly skilled, motivated and experienced Lead Carpenter to lead high-end residential remodeling projects. Competitive hourly wage, growth opportunities, year-round employment, health/life, PTO. ***Most jobs are along the Route 2 Corridor**** Position Responsibilities: Supervise all job-related carpenters and sub-contractors when on site in accordance to the needs to of the project manager. Ensure that the work is performed to Platt Builders’ standards and expectations. Responsible for purchasing and ordering materials except as specified by the project manager. Read and interpret paperwork, including all plans and specifications, subcontractor work orders, change orders. Bring questions, discrepancies, and unusual conditions to the attention of the project manager. Review the promised job schedule and make adjustments or sign-off on the schedule to ensure that we can produce what we have promised. Understand the scope of the work and discuss all requests for additional work with the project manager. Understand and assist with the cost update procedure.
