CHELMSFORD, MA — Two people were killed early Friday morning in a rollover crash on I-495 in Chelmsford, Massachusetts State Police said. Emergency crews responded to the scene after receiving a report of a crash around 5:13 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway near the Chelmsford rest area. The driver and a passenger inside an SUV were declared dead at the scene, troopers said. A preliminary investigation by police says the SUV rolled over after hitting a deer on the road. Police have not yet released the names of the victims. The crash remains under investigation. No additional information was immediately available.
