We Want You! New York Pilates is looking for a motivated and experienced Area Manager to oversee the Hamptons region. This role will play an essential role in developing this area’s business by consistently building and motivating their teams to maximize sales and profitability; ensuring excellent customer service, and upholding all visual and operational standards. The right candidate is a strong merchant with a thorough understanding of NYP aesthetic and customer. They possess strong analytical skills and are effective problem solvers. Area managers are responsible for training and developing their store managers, as well as monitoring the advancement of their stores staff. This role will be based locally in the Hamptons. This position will report to the District Manager of New York State as well as coordinating with other members of the NYP executive Team. The Responsibilities Strategic Business Leader Establish studio specific business development strategies to ensure long-term success for each studio and for the entire fleet of studios in your area Lead a team of studio managers towards effective collaboration and attainment of goals Evaluate performance using key metrics and address issues to improve it Undertake sound financial management to ensure studios are profitable and stay within budget Ensure compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines Deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions proactively Report to district manager and senior leadership on progress and issues Assist district manager in decisions related to the fleet of studios: expansion, closure, transfers, structures Ability to develop effective cross-functional partners in both field and corporate roles Ability to assess business result and propose appropriate activities to ensure minimal business disruption Team Development Lead a staff of Studio Manager &/or Assistant Managers Establish objectives and goals for Managers relative to the studio business objectives Assess performance of the Managers Provide in the moment and formal feedback to ensure optimal performance of individual and studio Understand the strength of each Manager to motives appropriately Delegate activities to Manager to support achievement of business goals Operational Optimize and oversee operations to ensure efficiency Sound understanding of optimization of studio operations and standards for success Ensure studios are current on all brand standards and expectations Ensure studios are current on Product Knowledge topics and activities Ensure studios are current on Customer Experience topics and activities Proficiency in effective studio scheduling MBO Booking Systems aptitude Familiar with payroll processing and practice Requirements: 3-5 years managing a successful team 70% time traveling required, we want you in the studio immersing yourself into the NYP culture and teams! Must have fantastic customer service & hospitality skills Strong ability to be able communicate successfully with both studio level and HQ Some non traditional work hours may be required, late night, weekends and some holidays Background in fitness or retail, BONUS!
