Description
MADISON, NJ — The Borough of Madison's contractor, Cifelli and Sons Contracting, will begin work on the 2022 Road Reconstruction project on Howard Street and Norman Circle on Thursday, June 2.
Among the improvements are road reconstruction, complete curbing, drainage, sidewalks, milling and paving. Officials estimate that the entire reconstruction project will take about 6 weeks.
Because of construction, Howard Street and Norman Circle may be closed in both directions, with only local access, officials said. Residents are asked to restrict or relocate vehicles they need to use between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. when the contractor is active on the street – work is typically localized in sections of 300 feet when possible.
Emergency "no parking" will be enforced by the Police Department during paving if vehicles impede construction progress, police said.
Temporary Parking on a local street within 1000 feet of work may be anticipated with the cooperation of the Police, who will be available for information and assistance at roadway entrance locations.
"We appreciate your continued cooperation as we continue our 2022 road improvement projects, and work to improve the infrastructure and roads throughout Madison," officials said.
