Did you ask for climate change, or a world where buying single use plastic, driving a car, and participating in environmental degradation is necessary just to survive? Of course not! Then why are you - and any average person just trying to get by - being blamed for it? Join us to learn about how climate change is perpetuated primarily by wealthy corporations and how they avoid fair responsibility by using marketing to blame individuals. We'll talk about how climate change affects all working class people, and how we can stand in solidarity together to advocate for the systemic change we need. Climate justice cannot be unraveled from racial and economic justice, and this talk will focus on the intersection of these overarching issues and how we can begin to pull at the threads that bind us all.
