In celebration of National Great Outdoors Month, Juneteenth, and Pride, the San Antonio River Foundation brings two stories that will inspire you to step outside of your comfort zone and challenge the narrative. Join us as we explore themes of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in outdoor spaces through films and panel discussions. Come and enjoy a community pop-up market before the movie featuring local artisans, outdoor retailers, recreation companies, and health and wellness brands. Featured Films: JEDI Training Film and HERstory by Black Diamond Equipment We couldn't be a JEDI event without making participation accessible, so ticket sales will be donation-based. There is a suggested tax-deductible donation of $25 with proceeds benefiting San Antonio River Foundation community engagement partner, MORE Outside! (Minorities in Outdoor Recreation & Education). MORE Outside! focuses on supporting the collaborative network of outdoor-focused affinity groups through educational opportunities and transformative experiences. MORE's target demographic includes socio-economically disadvantaged families from any ethnic background, BIPOC individuals, LGBTQIA2S+ persons, gender minorities, those with disabilities/neurodiversity, and youth. Community engagement activities range from rock climbing and caving to alpine snow sports.
