Press release from the St. Louis County Library: June 3, 2022 St. Louis County Library and the JCC of St. Louis are pleased to host an SLCL Authors @ the J event with former Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander, bestselling author of "Invisible Storm: A Soldier's Memoir of Politics and PTSD." The in-person, ticketed event is presented by St. Louis County Library Foundation's Westfall Politics & History Series. Jason Kander will be in conversation with Missouri State Senator Jill Schupp. The event will take place on Thursday, July 14, at 7:00 p.m. at the JCC's Staenberg Family Center – Mirowitz Performing Arts Center, 2 Millstone Campus Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146. TICKET INFORMATION: Tickets go on sale June 10 and can be purchased through Eventbrite. But after eleven years battling PTSD from his service in Afghanistan, Jason was seized by depression. He dropped out of the mayor's race and out of public life. And finally, he sought help.
