The Urban League of Philadelphia's HUD-certified counselors will provide on-site assistance to apply for programs to help with your property taxes, including those available to heirs living in family homes whose names are not on the deed connected to the subject property.
Lear more and apply for the following programs:
- Homestead Exemption: $45,000 reduction of the assessed value of the property, available to all owner-occupants
- OOPA: Option for families with low-and-moderate incomes, the resulting payment can be as low as zero (income-driven tier system)
- LOOP: Available to long term residents (10 years or longer) limits the increase to 50% of the assessed value
- Senior Tax Freeze: 65 years or older, limits future increases. Income-driven program
Bring the following documents:
