Women's Event in the ActivateHER category. Winners in this category were portrayed as, "Experts at multi-tasking and doing what it takes to get the job done. Our two recipients are the epitome of doing this as well as being influential movers and shakers in Douglas County." City Manager Hampton, in particular was described as, "a woman on the move! She has served the Douglasville community for over 20 years and has played a critical role in activating significant growth and change including the oversight of the soon to open Town Green, downtown redevelopment initiatives and operating as City Manager, leading employees and supporting the Mayor and City Council. On top of her 'day job', Marcia is a busy mom of three, leads several boards and associations on a local and state level ...and still finds time for self-care! She works tirelessly to do all these things and still comes out with a smile on her face and a can-do attitude."
