Northport Assistant Police Chief Keith Carpenter told Patch that investigators received a report that Ashley Davis, 34, had not been seen or heard from since 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
Davis, a mother of three and a special education educator at Northport Intermediate School, was reportedly driving a black Honda Odyssey van with the Alabama tag number 63NC921.
Carpenter said investigators are working to locate Davis and there is no reason to believe she is in immediate danger. However, the investigation is in its earliest stages as police work to locate the missing teacher and mother.
Those with any information as to Davis's whereabouts are asked to call the Northport Police Department at (205) 339-6600.
