Bassist looking for a project

Hey there. Im a bassist that's been looking to start a lowkey project completely from scratch. Im 28 years old and have been playing since I was a young teen. I have my own equipment (albeit not the best) but am really starving to find a group of friends who also happen to make music. I enjoy a myriad of different styles but have always been rooted heavily in 70s prog and 80s thrash metal. I'd really like to start something that can remain lowkey (I don't really get jazzed up about 'making it' or promoting myself as I did when I was young.) and would just like to play for the pleasure of playing.
