Description
I got a hound dog in hopes of training him as my Service Dog but it didn’t work out as planned and he was washed. However we kept him as a pet.
He developed some reactivity towards new and only some people. He has never bit anyone before but he has snapped while he’s leashed; I think that’s a big trigger for his reactivity. Because of this, he wasn’t walked often(since my mom and I work and the other people in the house are young children) which resulted in leash issues. He walks fine with a head halter and a prong collar. He prefers the prong, lol.
Our fence is also not secure and over the past few months he’s escaped. We’ve tried everything but he still manages to get out. He’s even jumped out the front window to escape. He does NOT listen when he is outside off leash, and goes up to people, aggressively barking.
He’s only a year and a half, and very very smart. Inside, he’s a very well behaved dog that just wants to cuddle and love on his family. He does well with other dogs if they aren’t aggressive and loves kids.
He’d be a good hunting dog, but I don’t want him going somewhere he’ll be outside always and not loved like a pet.
He isn’t fixed and before rehoming, you need to agree he’ll be neutered after his 2nd birthday.
He knows sit, lay down, shake, speak, off, down, up and can balance treats on his nose. He’ll come with a leash, his chain, a bone, a long line leash, a harness, and ecollar.
There is a rehoming fee to ensure a good home. Please text me for more information and to set up a meeting.
