Description
We are looking to rehome 10 month old siblings. Sig (male, 100lb) and Ziggy (female, 75lb). They are 52% German Shepherd, 19% American Staffordshire Terrier, 17% American Pit Bull Terrier, 3% Boxer, 2% Shiloh Shepherd (DNA test performed and can be provided). They are large dogs We are hoping to rehome them as a pair since they currently spend time together and play very well. We originally got Sig for our family and Ziggy for my mother-in-law. We had experience with pit/lab mixes and mistakenly thought they would be similar in temperament and needs. We also got them prior to some personal health diagnoses that hinder our ability to give them the exercise/time they need. They are loving, happy, playful dogs that would do well with someone who understands German shepherds or has experience with training. They love physical and intellectual challenges. They both love kids, but are still learning manners as far as jumping from excitement and wanting to steal toys (Sig has been raised with a 2yo and 6yo). They have both been raised around cats, but Sig still tries to chase/play with ours (she doesn't appreciate it). They show no behavioral issues and love people and other dogs. They are still mouthing a bit (not biting), and need more training (leash, excitement jumping, etc.). We LOVE these dogs but feel like we aren't able to give them the attention they need and deserve. We are bonded to them which makes this a very difficult situation. They are such great dogs and we want to make sure they will be loved. They would love an active family and to have a large yard to run and chase balls in. Both are current on all vaccinations. Ziggy is fixed, Sig is not due to the veterinarian recommending we wait until 12-18 months before neutering due to his size. They are both crate trained and potty trained. They come with all items we have for them including crates, food, leashes, collars and treats.
