SQUIRTLE IS JUST A PUPPY!! Only 11M old. SET TO BE EUTHANIZED 6/5! THE SHELTER HASN’T GIVEN HIM MUCH TIME AND SAYS NO EXTENTIONS!!
He needs a Foster, Pledges and a rescue to save his life!
Hi, I'm Squirtle. I’m an 11-month-old, neutered, brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier (41 lbs.). I need your help ASAP! I’ll bet you’re wondering why an 11-month-old puppy is going to be euthanized. Simply put…STRESS and FRUSTRATION from being confined to a small, concrete box with VERY FEW chances to play and exercise. Puppies can’t handle that! Now I’m “acting up” because I don’t want to go back to my kennel. I’m grabbing at the leash and other things close by. Can you blame me?
Sadly, I’ve been at this noisy, chaotic place three different times, always as a stray that no one comes to take home. I just can’t catch a break! The last person that found me said I loved people and did fine with his dogs. Maybe, once I de-stress, I might be able to live with another dog(s). So will need to be kept separate while I adjust.
During my shelter intakes I have been wiggly, have liked petting all over, and have walked on leash to my kennel. I am “starved” for attention, so when I get out to the yard, I get overly excited, jump up to play and can be “puppy mouthy”. It has been said that I take correction well. When I’m calm, I sit and take treats gently. I need out of here before I “lose my mind”! I hope a foster applies soon! I need one that understands what a stressed, puppy needs… time to de-stress, a predictable routine, play time and exercise and, of course, love. I think some in-home training would be good for me. Also, I would be best in a home with older children.
I'm too young to die! I have my whole life to live. Will you foster me before it is too late?
I’m in Phoenix Az. My ID is #A4682492
