I am the only accredited, certified personal property appraiser I know of in the United States. I am accredited and certified by the International Appraiser’s Guild, and have been so endorsed for over 35 years. I am also the National and International President of this Organization. Everything we do, will be aboveboard and totally honest, e.g., when we buy and sell firearms all such activities will be strictly legal as I am a Federally Licensed Firearms Dealer. I am licensed by the BATF to conduct this business and have been so licensed for over 40 years . I have been appraising firearms, jewelry, antiques, high dollar collectible furniture, sterling silver, collectible automobiles, militaria, American Indian collectibles, samurai swords, gold, watches, art, and most everything else that is classified as personal property since 1972. I charge $275 an hour for my appraisal work - almost everything that is personal property and has value. I am a court appointed expert witness for all types of trials that pertain to the value and valuing of most kinds of personal property. The second highest court in the United States, the US Appellate Court, in Murphy vs. the Commissioner, ruled that someone with my experience, education, training and expertise is to be considered to be “an expert professional appraiser.” I have also been buying almost every kind of personal property that has value since 1972. I also usually end up selling most of what I buy. I have sold many, many such items for over $100,000 each. Within the past year, I sold a weapon that I bought here in Denver for $1900, (nineteen hundred dollars,) for $103,500 cash. I have also sold some similar type items for as much as $235,000 cash each. There is a great deal of money to be made buying items such as I appraise, know and understand and have the required expertise to not only know what to buy, but how to buy it, and, also, how and to whom, and where to sell it. I am looking to become very active in not only the local market, but also the national and international market for collectible and antiques. In order to accomplish this, I plan on finding an individual(s) to help me. This can be and always has been for me, very, very profitable. My helper(s) will share in my profits. My advantage is: for the most part I know what things are worth and how to sell them while the general public is totally untrained in doing this type of valuing, and subsequently liquidation, selling and marketing the items that I understand and purchase. My basic business plan is as follows: we have all seen the signs around Denver and advertised for people wanting to buy junk, real estate, and junk automobiles. I want to advertise using these same kinds of signs that will advertise that I want to buy, and will pay more for, valuable items that I knew that I can make a good profit in reselling. Your part of our project will be to establish and maintain a route of signs and advertising for our project. You will set your own hours, but you can do this in the evenings, and/or over the weekends. We will agree upon the particulars.
