Description
Press release from the Town of Plymouth: June 2, 2022 The Town of Plymouth Department of Public Works ("DPW") seeks to notify residents and visitors that starting on Monday June 6, 2022, the Town's sidewalk contractor Lawrence Lynch, LLC will begin sidewalk repairs and improvements in preparation for the final paving of Billington Street, between Summer Street and Westerly Road which will be announced once sidewalk is complete, and the paving scheduling is confirmed. Barring inclement weather and unforeseen circumstances, work is expected to take place weekdays between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please Note: On street parking will be restricted before and during the hours of sidewalk construction. Traffic barrels and signage will be in place to alert motorists and pedestrians of said restrictions. Access to private property, parking lots and driveways will be maintained during construction. We ask that you drive carefully and be alert to activity in the area. If you have sidewalks in front of your house, there will be a few days where vehicle access may be impacted, when the sidewalk is removed and the new cement concrete sidewalk is formed and set. The DPW will deploy message boards to alert motorists of the forthcoming work. During the scheduled work, the DPW and the contractor will always make every effort to keep traffic flowing but temporary detours or delays may be required. In such instances, the DPW will work with the contractor and the Police detail officers on the placement of barrels and signage, to keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible. The public is advised to drive with caution and plan for minor traffic delays and temporary access restrictions. The Town appreciates the community's patience during these transportation improvement projects. Project questions may be directed to James Downey, DPW's Engineering Division at (508) 747-1620, ext. 10199, during the office hours, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This press release was produced by the Town of Plymouth.
