Press release from Norton Public Schools: June 1, 2022 Norton Public Schools is proud to recognize the Top 10 students of the graduating senior Class of 2022. Of 164 graduating seniors, these students are ranked top of their class academically, but have also accomplished numerous another achievements during their time at Norton High School. Meet the Top 10 Class of 2022 seniors: Abigail LeoValedictorian Abigail was a member of many honor societies in which she held several leadership positions. She was active in many clubs, including DECA and Global Citizenship Club, and was captain of the NHS volleyball team. Abigail demonstrated leadership and commitment to community service by participating in a teen advocacy day with Senator Markey and former US Representative Joe Kennedy and playing piano for several benefit events. Abigail is passionate about molecular biology and has taken advantage of many opportunities to visit industry sites. She plans to pursue a career in medical research after attending Washington and Lee University. Courtney KassSalutatorian Courtney was a very active student at Norton High School. She was a member of many Honor Societies and held the position of president of National Honor Society. She volunteered her time as a student leader on the Principal's Student Advisory Committee and was a student representative on the COVID-19 reopening committee. Courtney was involved with many clubs such as Debate Club, Best Buddies, and Global Citizens Club. Courtney has won several awards for her artwork including a Scholastic Art Award Honorable Mention. She plans to pursue a career melding her two passions, Art and History. In the fall Courtney will be attending Providence College. Jordan Robbins Jordan was a member of six honor societies and held many leadership positions including president for the Math Honor Society. She demonstrated leadership as the Treasurer for the Class of 2022 and on the Executive Board of Student Council. Jordan was the captain of the Girls' Lacrosse team and a valuable member of the Soccer and Indoor Track teams. She is extremely passionate about history and interned in the department for the entire year. Jordan has pursued history to prepare for a potential career in law after attending the College of the Holy Cross. Morgan Antosca Morgan was a member of the National Honor Society, History Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and held the position of president of the English Honor Society. She was very active in numerous clubs including Best Buddies, Global Citizens' Club, and serving as the president of the Future Educators Club. Morgan performed a great deal of community service for many organizations. Morgan demonstrated tremendous leadership as a four-year member of the NHS Softball team. She will be attending Merrimack College. Zoe Duran Zoe was an extremely involved student. She was a member and a leader in five honor societies and numerous school councils including Student Council, Site Council, and School Committee. She was accepted into a program through the Air Force that allowed her to earn her pilot's license. Zoe was a leader on the Norton High School Gymnastics team and recently finished third in the nation on the uneven bars. Zoe plans to attend Yale in the fall and plans to major in aerospace engineering. Isabella Dumont Isabella was involved in many clubs including Best Buddies at Norton High School. She was the co-president of the Spanish Honor Society and helped tutor other Spanish students. She was involved in Gymnastics and became a captain of the Cheerleading team that qualified for Nationals. She plans to pursue a dual major in exercise science and Spanish at the College of Charleston with hopes of becoming a pediatric orthopedic surgeon. Tristan Sibug Tristan moved to the United States from the Philippines during his 9th grade year. He was a member of the National Honor Society and served as the Secretary of the Math Honor Society. Tristan was a very accomplished member of the Norton High School DECA club as he finished in the top seven at district and state competitions, which earned him the right to represent the school at the national competition. Tristan moved plans to attend Stonehill and major in Accounting. Lauren Anderson Lauren was a member of several honor societies. She was the captain of the Norton High School Girls' Soccer team and a member of the Indoor and Outdoor Track teams. She was president of the Class of 2022 for all four years of high school. Lauren served the community by volunteering as a coach for Norton Youth Soccer. Lauren is headed to the honors program at the University of South Carolina to pursue a career as a physician's assistant. Nicole Weise Nicole has won numerous awards as a two-year captain of the Norton High School Cheerleading team that qualified for nationals in 2022. She was a member of four honor societies, including serving as the Secretary of the National Art Honor Society. She served her community as a Norton Youth Cheerleading Coach. While excelling at Norton High School, Nicole was a competitive gymnast at a club gymnastics program for 12 years. Nicole plans to attend Clark University, but is undecided as to her major. Caroline LaSalle While excelling at Norton High School, Caroline has been part of a club Gymnastics team and was an award winning member of Norton High School Gymnastics team including the JFK award in 2020. She was a member of several honor societies and active on the Student Council and in the community, participating in the Relay For Life and Snowflake competition. Caroline plans to pursue a biomedical or biotechnological career after attending the University of Delaware. This press release was produced by Norton Public Schools.
