BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline Health Commissioner Sigalle Reiss and Recreation Director Leigh Jackson are inviting residents to attend a community yoga class in celebration of the International Day of Yoga on June 21 from 7 to 8: 30 p.m.
The class, which is being hosted by the Brookline Department of Public Health and Brookline Recreation, will be held at Emerson Park on Davis Avenue. In the event of rain, the class will be canceled.
Brookline's community yoga class returns after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Experienced instructors from local yoga studios, including Coolidge Yoga Brookline, Down Under School of Yoga, and Healthworks, will serve as instructors.
Community members of all levels of yoga experience, including those new to this type of exercise, are welcome to attend. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring a towel or yoga mat and water.
