Throughout this weekly reading series I will cover the entire 8 chapters of my book: Dispatches From a Black Mail Carrier. I will also share extra information and details about my experiences as a postal worker that did not make it in the book. There will be Q&A at the end of each reading session.
This series is about getting to know me as a person while also learning about the postal profession in general. More broadly, it is geared more toward those who are interested in discovering unique stories that, and although are dissimilar to their own lived-experiences, nevertheless relates to a larger American experience which ties each and every one of us together.
As this series is an in-person event there will be wine, other beverages, lite hordourves for attendees. I ask that guests respect the space and be kind to each other. But more importantly, be patient and open. Above all, ask thoughtful questions and never hold back on any observations or constructive feedback that could contribute to a better understanding of the topic, idea, or perspective at hand.
For those who cannot make it to the in-person events, will receive a private zoom link to attend remotely.
The aim at the end of this series is to transition into a Book Club, where every week we will meet to discuss the chapters we are reading from the books we have selected.
Those who do not yet have the book are strongly encouraged to get a copy to follow along. Dispatches From a Black Mail Carrier is avialable for purchase on Amazon (link below)
