Description
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is once again warning drivers about possible delays on the Hutch this weekend.
One lane of a section of the Hutchinson River Parkway in Westchester County will be closed in both directions for construction work, as part of an ongoing bridge replacement and rehabilitation project.
The NYSDOT said that one lane of the Hutch, northbound and southbound, is expected to close between Exit 8 (Cross County Parkway) in the City of New Rochelle and Exit 6 (East Lincoln Ave.) in the City of Mount Vernon/Village of Pelham.
The closures will start Friday at 11 p.m. and continue through Saturday at 10 a.m., weather permitting, according to the agency.
The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a drivers license suspension.
