The Littleton Museum debuted its new visitor orientation video in its reopened orientation room, which now also doubles as a calm, quiet environment for visitors who benefit from low-sensory accommodations.
The new orientation video walks visitors through what to expect at the museum, including an overview of the indoor galleries and living history farms. The video can also be played with Spanish subtitles.
The museum now also offers accessibility aids for guests who benefit from low-sensory accommodations.
Guests can check out sensory backpacks containing the following items:
Weighted lap pads for overstimulation Noise-cancelling headphones for auditory overstimulation Sunglasses for visual overstimulation Fidget toys, which help with focusing attention Communication cards for sharing feelings Other new accessibility items include EnChroma glasses that reduce symptoms of color blindness, and a new lighter-weight and larger-capacity wheelchair, both available for checkout at the front desk.
