Here are the top five stories in Denver today: Starbucks fighting back against unionization effort at Denver location. It appears that the international coffee dealer isn't very happy with workers that have opted to unionize at the East Colfax store. As such, Starbucks filed a complaint against workers with the National Labor Board. Workers from the store say the company's claims are baseless. Between staffing issues caused by the pandemic, crazy spring weather and thieves stealing new plantings, Denver Parks and Recreation is having a heck of time keeping the city's parks looking snappy, but they say they are working on it. Gov. Jared Polis has signed several bills designed to address homelessness in Colorado. These bills are funded by nearly $200 million in federal relief money. (Patch)Denver-based Frontier sweetens its merger offer. Frontier Airlines is trying to buy Spirit Airlines, but JetBlue Airways has been trying to derail the deal so it can buy Spirit for itself.
