WAUKESHA, WI — High school students across Wisconsin, including in Waukesha, won scholarship money in June, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced on Wednesday.
Students will receive $500 to $2,000 for four years during their undergraduate study, the program said in a statement. Winners had to submit applications and write essays about their leadership positions and achievement outside of school.
Here are the students that won scholarships in the Waukesha area.
Carter Dunst, Waukesha North High School, who may pursue a career in computer scienceAidan Jacobsen, Arrowhead High School, who may pursue a career in computer engineeringOlivia Lee, Arrowhead High School, who hasn't decided on a career to pursue yetMicah Lundberg, Arrowhead High School, who may pursue a career in financeTyler Fischer, Muskego High School, who may pursue a career in lawKayleigh Kopidlansky, High School of Health Sciences, who may pursue a career an actuarial science Another round of scholars will be announced in July, the program said. By then, 4,000 high school students will receive the Merit Scholarship.
