FORT FUNSTON, CA — A woman reportedly survived a 120-foot drop off a cliff in her vehicle on Christmas Day. The vehicle landed upside down on a Fort Funston beach, according to a Twitter post from the San Francisco Fire Department. The woman was transported to a nearby trauma center and was in "serious condition," fire officials wrote on Twitter. The woman's name was not released and the cause of the wreck, which occurred just after 8 a.m., was still under investigation. Rescue crews were able to reach the woman by using a rope ladder and by air, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. The woman was reportedly conscious and able to speak to fire personnel, the Chronicle also reported.
