GLS will host a park clean-up of Rouge Park which will help to remove litter from green spaces in Detroit. GLS wants this environment to be proactive, joyful, and binding to the community because it is important for residents to connect with one another while restoring the green spaces in the local area through stewardship. Green Living Science will have a tent set up in a central area of the park for volunteers to drop off sorted recyclables and trash, refill reusable water bottles, enjoy festive music, and sign-up for a free recycling cart for Detroit residents. At the end of the clean-up, the trash and recyclables collected will be weighed and announced.
