Press release from the Missoula County Government: June 1, 2022 With the federal primary less than a week away, the Missoula County Elections Office encourages voters to drop off their ballots instead of mailing them to ensure they will be counted for the June 7 election. Leading up to Election Day, voters can drop off their ballots any time in the secure afterhours dropbox at the Elections Center, located at 140 N. Russell St. in Missoula. Drive-thru ballot drop-off also will be available at the Missoula County Fairgrounds on the following days: Saturday, June 4, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.Monday, June 6, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Tuesday, June 7, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.Voters should use the entrance on Russell Street next the YMCA to access the drop-off, which will be located in the southwest corner of the Fairgrounds (see map). Voters can also drop off ballots at any polling place on Election Day. Voters must return their ballots by 8 p.m. on Election Day. Postmarks are not sufficient, and the U.S. Postal Service recommends mailing ballots no later than seven days before the election. Elections Administrator Bradley Seaman reports that as of June 1, 29.5% of the ballots his office mailed out for the primary election have been returned. If residents need to register to vote, change their address or make most other updates to their registration, they must do so in person at the Elections Center by noon on Monday, June 6. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. this week and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 4. Staff will provide voter services in the green building on the east side of the parking lot. Voters can also visit the Elections Center to receive a replacement ballot, pick up an undeliverable ballot and access other voter services. The Elections Center is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. Residents who vote by mail can confirm the Elections Office has received and accepted their ballot by visiting www.MyVoterPageMT.com, and polling place voters can confirm their polling location on the same site.
