Walker's Office: June 2, 2022 Underscoring the important work Clearbrook does for thousands of individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities and their families in and around the 53rd District, state Rep. Mark Walker, D-Arlington Heights, is announcing $3 million in state capital infrastructure funds he secured for Clearbrook. "Clearbrook has been providing critical services for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities for decades," Walker said. "Serving over 160 communities in the Chicagoland area and headquartered in Arlington Heights, Clearbrook has become the leader for care for people with disabilities in Illinois. I'm proud to support Clearbrook's mission to provide the best care possible for our vulnerable populations." "Representative Walker's efforts to support Clearbrook with Capital Bill funding are a true testament to his commitment towards his community and his work to provide support to those who need it most," said Anthony Di Vittorio, President & CEO of Clearbrook. "As an elected official, he has acted, and continues to act, in support of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are proud of, and grateful for, his support." The funds Walker secured for Clearbrook are part of Illinois' historic ten-year capital infrastructure plan. These funds, once released, will go towards projects to update many of Clearbrook's Community Integrated Living Arrangement homes as well as modernizing many of their facilities used for programming and support efforts. Founded over sixty years ago, Clearbrook serves people over a range of ages and disabilities from children diagnosed with developmental delays at birth to the unique needs of seniors with disabilities and all ages in between. They support over 8,000 individuals and their families annually and employ over 900 full and part-time staff. This press release was produced by Rep. Walker's Office.
