EDINA, MN — Two seniors from Edina High School are set to receive college-sponsored National Merit Scholarships after being named among the winners Wednesday. More than 150 higher education institutions are sponsoring annual awards of $500 to $2,000 for more than 2,600 students for up to four years of undergraduate studies at the sponsoring institution. Hundreds To Graduate Next Week From Edina High School Jack Herzer earned a scholarship sponsored by the University of Minnesota, where he plans to study law, according to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which runs the program. Jack McIntyre is due to receive a scholarship from the University of Iowa to study computer science.
