LANGHORNE, PA — Stars & Stripes Harley Davidson of Langhorne will be the host of the first annual PTSD Ride on Sunday. The charity event is being organized in collaboration with EMS Angles Motorcycle Club Chapter XXVII for the benefit of the For the Love of a Veteran non-profit organization, which donates money toward PTSD treatment programs for veterans. The money from the event will go toward "saving lives one Veteran at a time," according to the non-profit. Registration for the event will begin at the motorcycle dealer, located at 600 S. Flower Mill Rd., at 8:45 a.m. The ride will begin at 10:15 a.m. and will be escorted by the Middletown Township Police Department. Participation in the trade will cost $20, with an additional $10 for each passenger. Radio station 93.3 WMMR will be on-site, with radio personality Jacky Bam Bam in attendance from 12 p.m.to 2 p.m. Raffles that will be donated by various organizations will also be available. Food will be available to all bikers after the ride. The proceeds from the event will go toward the payments needed for a specific form of PTSD treatment that will be made available to veterans. Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) treatment is a nerve block shot shown to be 85% effective in treating PTSD symptoms in patients. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go on to benefit the For the Love of a Veteran non-profit organization.
