Press release from the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce: May 31, 2022 The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber's Ignite FMWF Initiative is proud to collaborate with the Cass County Career and Technical Education Center to host a teacher externship program, Business Summer EDVentures. Area teachers are invited to tour and interact with participating area businesses the week of June 20-24. Educators have the option of enrolling for professional development credit or general participation. Registration is open until June 13 at ignitefmwf.com Workforce retention and future-talent pipelining are among our community's top priorities. Business EDventures connects educators with area businesses to create strong relationships and experiences for students. Educators will experience a company's environment, interact with employees, and be exposed to the educational needs businesses and their industries are currently seeking and will seek in the future. Topics businesses will incorporate this year include effective organizational communication, employee collaboration, the design and editing process, encouraging innovation and creativity, diversity, equity, and inclusion practices, skill development and coaching, and sharing workforce needs. Participating organizations are Grand Farm, Elite Massage Academy, Appareo, Marvin, Mid America Steel, General Equipment, Microsoft, Xcel Energy, Fargo Jet Center and Border States Electric.
