Demolition of the structure at 201 N. Eugene St. downtown that began in March is continuing with lane and sidewalk closures beginning at 9 am Monday, June 6. The work is expected to continue daily for at least two weeks.
The job will close alternating lanes near the intersection of N. Eugene Street and W. Friendly Avenue from 9 am to 4 pm. Sidewalks in this area will be closed to pedestrians 24/7. Exiting the Eugene Street Parking Deck will continue as usual.
Motorists are urged to use alternate routes to avoid the area or expect delays traveling along the work zone.
Work schedules are dependent on weather conditions and material/equipment availability.
