TUSCALOOSA, AL — An online fundraiser has been launched to help cover funeral expenses following the untimely death of University of Alabama men's basketball student-manager Charlie Wilson. The Aliceville native was 20 years old. BamaOnline reported on Thursday that Wilson, who just finished his sophomore season at UA, suffered a seizure on Monday while in Pensacola, Florida for his grandmother's funeral. In an effort to help cover Wilson's funeral expenses, a GoFundMe was launched Wednesday by Perkins Carden. As of the publication of this story on Thursday, the online fundraiser had garnered $2,905 from 42 donors toward its goal of $5,000. Click here to donate to the GoFundMe.
