Here are the top three stories in Mountain Brook today: A fire broke out at a house in Mountain Brook that was in its final stages of construction at about 3 p.m. on Thursday. It's unclear how the fire was started, and no injuries were reported. (WVTM13 Birmingham)Four Mountain Brook Spartans were named in the third annual All-South Metro baseball team, which includes high school teams throughout the coverage area of Starnes Media. They are Trent Wright on first base, Walker Allen as shortstop and Charlie Berryman and Gabe Young as outfield.
