Sales engineers make an average salary of $158,740. Architects make $120,430, on average. (KPVI News 6)This year's Sci/Fi Fantasy Fest at The Hoover Public Library has been canceled after the departure of the festival's chairwoman. The "overlord" of the festival, Krysten Griffin, recently left the library to take a job as a school librarian, which has left the library a little short-staffed and made planning for this year's festival difficult. On Facebook, staff shared a recent case from the overnight hours of Jun. 1, which shows exactly how car burglars operate. (Hoover (AL) Police Department via Facebook) According to the Hoover Fire Department, this past Friday, Engine 1, Engine 2, Engine 3, Engine 4, Truck 4, Rescue 11, Rescue 5, District 1, District 2, Car 100, Car 300, Car 602, and Rehab 9 responded to a structure fire on a two-story multi-family townhome. The fire was quickly contained and brought under control in about 20 minutes. Five dogs were rescued from the condos.
