Description

Did you know that there is a 2 in 5 (40%) chance that a major earthquake will hit the Portland Metro (PDX) Region in the next 50 years? I am a researcher at Boise State University who studies earthquake risk education. I have been working with Oregon community partners to develop an earthquake preparedness workshop with and for Spanish speaking communities. In these workshops, facilitators will discuss what life might be like after a major earthquake happens. Join this workshop to learn how to protect your family and ensure your safety during and after an earthquake. Participants will also be entered in a raffle to win prizes! There will be in-person and virtual options between June 7th and July 5th. See the attached flyers in Spanish and English for more details on the workshops (dates, times, locations) and the workshop facilitators. Snacks will also be provided.
