Meet Maggie! Maggie was pulled from a local shelter after being surrendered when she was diagnosed with multiple mast cell tumors and slated to be euthanized that day. Maggie had found a home to live out the rest of her golden days in peace and quiet, but unfortunately only a few months after being pulled from the shelter her caretaker had a severe injury and can no longer care for her. Now with nowhere else to go and no shelters willing to take her due to her tumors, Maggie will be euthanized in as soon as 48 hours. Maggie is roughly 9 - 10 years old, and while unfortunately her tumors have spread past the point of treatment, Maggie is in otherwise excellent health, great spirits, and could have months to even a few years of excellent quality of life depending on the progression of her condition. All she requires is a dose of Benadryl morning and evening! She is a very polite, very affectionate dog who has no idea she's a senior. She is house trained, knows some basic obedience, loves to go on walks and play with the hose, and loves to curl up next to you to nap. Maggie would also prefer to be the only animal in the house, unless there is a way to keep her safely and happily separated from any other critters. She has had a very rough couple months, and time is running out for her, so we're hoping someone will find it in their heart to give Maggie a stable, happy home and lots of love for however much time she has left. She is a incredibly sweet dog with so much love to give, and just needs a safe place to live out her golden months/years.
