Are you a retired or semi-retired guitarist looking for fun gig to keep your chops up? Or, are you a capable, but inexperienced hobbyist looking to gain live playing experience? New Lenox-based church is seeking volunteer guitar players, (lead electric and/or acoustic and bass), for it's Contemporary Music ministry. The service is held on Sunday evenings at 5:00pm. There is one weeknight rehearsal and an hour warm-up prior to worship. We will help you stay in the game, or gain valuable playing experience in a live setting, for a minimal commitment. All we ask is that you are available to rehearse 1 weeknight, can make the time to learn 5-6 songs in a 3-week period and serve in one Sunday evening service per month. All rehearsals are led by a professional band leader, with a supplied backline. If you are reliable, hard-working, and can read simple chord charts, we'd love to hear from you!
