Migration Fest, part III 20 Buck Spin and Gilead Media, two of underground metal's leading underdog record labels, will once again join forces in Summer 2020 to present the third biennial Migration Festival outside Pittsburgh, PA. Jointly conceived by the two labels, Migration will primarily showcase bands from each label's roster, as well as select other affiliated and respected artists, highlighting the distinct and contrasting styles that makes each label stand out amongst the underground metal scene. VENUE Within the beautifully repurposed former 18th century Catholic church lives Mr. Smalls Theatre, Pittsburgh’s premier music venue and the anchor of the Millvale entertainment hub. The ambiance and spacious interior make it the ideal place for local and national acts to perform year-round. TRANSPORTATION Please be aware, most hotels are 3-4 miles from the venue, so you may need to rely on renting a car or using a service like Uber or Lyft in order to get to and from the venue. FAQs Can my band play? We're glad you're excited for the fest, but this is a curated event that is booked far in advance. We do not accept any submissions to perform. Can I vend? Since this event is a celebration of the 20 Buck Spin and Gilead Media label families we only allow vending for our labels and the participating bands. We will not accept any other submissions for outside vendors. Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? This is an all ages event. Alcohol is available to those that are 21+ with ID. Where can I contact the organizer with any questions? Make sure this FAQ doesn't already answer your questions, and then email [email protected] How many stages will there be? One stage. You can see every band if you want to. No overlap. Is my registration/ticket transferrable? Yes, contact [email protected] for information. Can I update my registration information? Yes, contact migrationfest2016 at gmail dot com for information. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? It is not required, but it wouldn't hurt to print your confirmation with ticket graphic just in case. All tickets will be will-call, so your name and quantity of passes will be listed at the will-call table. Have your ticket confirmation ready so we can scan the code on your phone or printed sheet. What is the refund policy? NO REFUNDS unless the festival is cancelled. We are not responsible if you can't find a babysitter, or if your favorite band cancels their appearance at the fest. You should go anyway, it will still be fun. The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay? TERMS & CONDITIONS OF TICKET PURCHASE By purchasing Migration Fest ticket you agree to the following terms and conditions. Although Migration Fest has done everything in its power to ensure the festival proceeds as planned, the performance schedule is subject to change without notice. Migration Festival, LLC is not responsible if your favorite band playing the festival breaks up and decides to cancel, nor will Migration Festival, LLC be responsible for the cancellation of any other band for any other reason.Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE. Migration Festival, LLC is not responsible for loss or expenses incurred by attendees as a result of changes in festival scheduling, nor are they responsible for loss or expenses incurred for any other reason. Tickets will be transferable, please contact Migration Festival, LLC for requirements to transfer tickets. Transfers must occur BEFORE the event begins. Re-entry will be allowed as long as an in-tact weekend pass wrist-band is presented upon re-entry. Please don't lose your wrist-band.NO PHYSICAL TICKETS WILL BE MAILED. All tickets sold are WILL CALL only. Attendees must have a valid photo ID when they check in at the festival to receive their tickets. The name on your ID must match the information you entered when you purchased your tickets. If you cannot provide ID matching the purchase info then you must contact Migration Festival immediately to provide correct contact information. If more than one ticket is purchased by a single individual, then ALL tickets included within that purchase will be held under the purchaser's name.The festival will be all-ages, and alcohol can be served to attendees who are age 21+ with a valid ID, although alcohol consumption will be restricted to a designated area. No carry-ins allowed. Amateur photography and filming is permitted as long as you don't obstruct the view or negatively affect the experience of other Migration Fest attendees. Watch the concert through your eyes, not through your phone. If you interfere with other attendees' experience or the performance of the bands you will be ejected from the festival and your wrist-band pass will be destroyed without refund. No professional filming equipment will be permitted into Migration Fest.Migration Festival, LLC reserves the right to deny entrance to any person for any reason and reserves the right to eject any attendee for any reason without a refund. No weapons, concealed or open, are allowed on Mr. Smalls premises. Moshing will be strictly prohibited at Migration Fest.The ticket holder assumes all responsibility for any risk of bodily harm or loss of property sustained while attending this attraction and waive all rights to lay claim for damages resulting from any cause whatsoever either before, during, or after the festival. During Migration Fest both photography and video recording will be taking place in and around the Mr. Smalls premises. By attending the festival ticket holders acknowledge the use of photographic and video equipment at the festival, and authorize Migration Festival, LLC to use, edit, and/or reproduce such photographs and videos, or share them with anyone for any purpose. Ticket holders release all claims against Migration Festival, LLC or the Mr. Smalls in respect to the copyright, publication, or use of such photographs or videos, including any claim for compensation related to their use.
