Multisite Construction Services, Inc. is seeking dependable, hard-working Metal Framer/Painter to join our commercial construction team! Contact: David T. - 713-206-3252 RESPONSIBILITIES: • Commitment to following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment. Should have own personal protection equipment (PPE). • Layout reference lines and points, compute position of framing and furring channels, and mark position. • Measure and mark cutting lines on framing, drywall, and trim. • Install grid system for installation of ceiling gypsum panels. • Install horizontal and vertical studs for interior walls for the attachment of gypsum panel products. • Trim rough edges from wallboard to maintain even joints. • Fit and fasten gypsum panels into the specified position. • Install batt insulation between studs. • Assemble and install metal framing and decorative trim for windows, doorways, and corners. • Perform daily cleanup of work areas. • Responsible for providing own hand tools. Duties: * Prepares work to be processed by reviewing work requests; resolving questions; prioritizing projects. * Prepares surfaces by scraping; using commercial paint removers; filling cracks and holes; sizing plaster walls. * Meets equipment material requirements by requisitioning from inventory or placing orders through purchasing department. * Achieves desired colors by mixing paints. * Maintains safe work procedures by erecting scaffolds, ladders, and safety barriers according to prescribed protocols. * Protects equipment, furniture, and floors by placing drop cloths. SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE: • Experienced hanger/framer. • Ability to follow blueprints or drawings to complete according to specifications. • Experience in proper operation of a variety of power hand tools. • Following safety protocol and OSHA regulations on a commercial job site. • Attention to detail and desire for quality work. • Basic math skills. • Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them • Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques • Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc. • Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.) • Conscientious with great attention to detail REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Must have own tools. • Ability to work as a team member. • Reliable means of transportation. • Able to work in all elements of the outdoor environment which include the heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, etc. • Able to access all areas of the jobsite, which include stairs, scaffolding, ladders, elevation changes, etc. • Capable of working in physical positions that may include kneeling, sitting, standing, squatting, bending, stooping, twisting etc. Skills/Qualifications: Bilingual.
