I’m posting your response that I agree with in theory. The problem is that half of the country (Democratic States) have raised minimum wages and Republican State’s haven’t. This is making these States lower income citizens even further behind. In some Democratic states minimum wage have almost double in just a few years. What did people think was going to happen! If wages doubled so will food, gas, rent and everything else. So in theory I agree with you, but it isn’t going to be good for the majority of Republican States unless they raise their minimum wage.
