Description
Hi - I'm an older drummer in a local band who plays out about once a month. I'd like to have someone help me load my kit (which is substantial) into my car (1), unload it at the job site (2) and help me set it up (3). We always play early (latest gig ends at 9:00pm at this point), so then I would need that person to help break it down at the end of the night (4)*, pack pieces into cases (5)*, load back into my car (6), and then help me move it back into my basement (7). The most important part of this is 4* & 5*. We have to get off the stage quickly, to make room for the next band, so speed is critical. Last time I did this by myself and it took WAY to long. I'm looking to pay $20 for 1-3, and then another $30 for 4-7. Both parts should take about an hour each. Having some knowledge of how a kit is put together would be helpful but not absolutely necessary, but the kit would need to be put together and disassembled correctly. You'd definitely need to be over 21, since we mostly play at bars. Other members of the band may also need help with either setup or breakdown, so there may be extra work there, which they would pay you for separately. Am I nuts? Well yes, but you tell me what you think.
