Beautiful Male Alaskan Malamute

2 year old, house/potty trained, neutered, male Alaskan Malamute. In great health condition. He is very sweet in temperament. Only two downsides: -As a sledding dog, he pulls while being walked for the first portion of the walk (as we are still working on him in this area and he has improved, it is not quite considered a mastered skill). -He cannot have table scraps of any kind. He has a weak stomach in the regard of only being able to handle dog food. This boy is a GREAT dog. I love him very much and am incredibly sore about needing to find him a new home, however, I am set that he must find a better scenario than he currently has. He needs a lot more attention than I am able to offer due to health related concerns. Recent issues have made me unable to take him for the amount of walks he needs/requires. This breed is not as hyper as their similar breed comparisons, but they do require a good deal of exercise to remain happy and healthy. He needs a long daily walk and at least one or two visits to the dog park for weekly exercise. If no dog park visits, then he will require more challenging walking such as hiking. He requires a good deal of brushing in order to keep his shedding at bay. This breed cannot ever be shaved, this will ruin their beautiful fur and cause them to over heat. They do not tolerate the warm weather very well, as they are snow breed dogs, so he will need to be an indoor pet. He will take a very experienced owner, who preferably has “wolf like” dog breed experience. They are not like many other breeds, incredibly stubborn and independent- this must be nurtured and a mutual respect established. He is roughly 105lbs of love.
