PISTOLS are used to kill 75% of the time. Assault rifles are used to kill about 5% of the time. So, let's ban assault rifles, right? Makes all the sense in the world. FACT: So-called 'assault rifles' have been around since 1907. They started out with wooden stocks, but now you can get them in scary-looking black plastic stocks. But in reality, the guns themselves and how they operate, has not changed much in the last 115 years. So why are 'assault rifles' such a concern for our government? Because semi-automatic rifles in the hands of citizens is the scariest thing for a corrupt government, if or when they decide to take over your life.
