WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Police arrested a 23-year-old Milwaukee woman on May 26 after chasing a vehicle seen speeding on Lake Drive, according to the latest logs from the Whitefish Bay Police Department. A caller reported the vehicle, a silver Hyundai, to police when they saw it going to wrong way on Santa Monica Boulevard and Day Avenue, logs said. An officer spotted the car lose control near Cumberland Avenue and Lake Drive before it drove over 60 mph down Lake, logs said. Police started a pursuit of the vehicle and stopped the car near Lake Drive and Kenwood Boulevard. The driver yelled something about a shooting and fled, but officers did not start another pursuit, logs said. Police later arrested the registered owner of the car for resisting and fleeing, logs said.
