NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle police said stopping a stolen car uncovered a slew of other crimes.
On Memorial Day afternoon, the Westchester County Police Real Time Crime Center notified the New Rochelle Police Department that a stolen vehicle was entering New Rochelle on Lincoln Avenue. New Rochelle police officers located the car on North Avenue near the Metro-North train station parking garage and confirmed that the car was stolen out of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Police stopped the car and the four men inside were arrested. Officers report finding stolen debit cards, fraudulent drivers' licenses, stolen checks and drugs when searching the car.
The four men arrested are identified as 27-year-old Bakary Ceesay, 27-year-old Edirissa Fall, 23-year-old Asif Zakaria and 18-year-old Richard Bah. The Bronx men now face a laundry list of charges, including grand larceny, felony possession of stolen property, felony possession of a forged instrument and possession of a controlled substance.
